Community Event: Act Now. Together for Climate Justice!

Around the globe, climate activists are working every day for a sustainable world. How do they organize themselves? What motivates them and what challenges do they face? What motivates you?

Climate activists from Nicaragua and India will be our guests and will talk about their work and their social, ecological, feminist and political commitment to more climate justice.

Meet:

• Luz Marina Valle & Kenya Baca, feminist farmers and agroecological activists from the women's organization "Fundación Entre Mujeres" (FEM), Nicaragua
• Sughanthi Thangavelu, Purchasing Manager & Isabel Tadmiri Communications Manager of the organization "Last Forest", India

And of course, the space will also be used to make local engagement for more climate justice visible and tangible - get involved and show what you're doing!

Join us for an inspiring after-work exchange with others committed to climate and trade justice. Delicious organic-fair finger food and drinks included!

The event will be held primarily in English. A translation into German will be provided if needed (please indicate when registering).

Community Event: Act Now. Together for Climate Justice!

Rund um den Globus engagieren sich Klima-Aktivist:innen tagtäglich für eine zukunftsfähige Welt. Wie organisieren sie sich? Was motiviert sie und welchen Herausforderungen sehen sie sich konfrontiert? Was motiviert dich?

Klimaaktivistinnen aus Nicaragua und aus Indien sind zu Gast und erzählen von ihrer Arbeit und ihrem sozialen, ökologischen, feministischen und politischen Engagement für mehr Klimagerechtigkeit. Und natürlich soll der Raum auch genutzt werden, um das lokale Engagement für mehr Klimagerechtigkeit sicht- und erfahrbar zu machen – bringt euch ein und zeigt, was ihr macht!

Mit dabei:

• Luz Marina Valle & Kenia Baca, feministische Bäuerinnen und agrarökologische Aktivistinnen der Frauenorganisation „Fundación Entre Mujeres“ (FEM), Nicaragua
• Sughanthi Thangavelu, Einkaufsleiterin & Isabel Tadmiri, Kommunikationsmanagerin der Organisation "Last Forest", Indien

Euch erwartet ein inspirierender Austausch mit anderen Engagierten für Klima-  und Handelsgerechtigkeit zum Feierabend. Leckeres bio-faires Fingerfood und Getränke inklusive!

Die Veranstaltung findet vorwiegend in englischer Sprache statt. Eine Übersetzung ins Deutsche wird bei Bedarf angeboten (bitte bei Anmeldung angeben).
